Loema is a three-person band from Utrecht, and they’ve no time for games. Sleep Song, their new single, sounds like a gift from heaven. We enjoy its long intro, which doesn’t rush, but calmly, second by second, makes you feel the music. From here, instruments such as drums make the sound more theatrical, with the line ‘save me’ repeating in the background. The main vocal lays everything out in front of us.
Sleep Song is about trying to reunite with your ex, but not coming to a good compromise. You realize it’s over and you must find some hope somewhere, even if you aren’t sure where. However, things will get better over time, so hold on to your beliefs.
