Madeline Rhodes hails from the Upper West Side of New York City. She put her inner thoughts on paper in her new song, Be Alone. It was written during COVID in 2022, when the singer, hiding in her hotel room in Bangkok, was getting a sick pleasure from not having to interact with society. Madeline felt the need to be alone, but finding the balance between self-care and self-isolation wasn’t always simple for her. Why? Well, she also had identity issues. And more people have that. I mean, society expects so much of us. There are times when things become quite confusing.
Be Alone features top-level pop production over warm electronica. Deep sounds engulf you in a meditative state that allows you to just say what’s on your mind. The chorus resonates with realness that cannot be stressed enough.
