Cat’s Cradle – Flower Face

Montreal goth-folk songwriter Ruby McKinnon, better known as Flower Face, opts for a dark sound on her latest single, Cat’s Cradle. The song, triumphed by strings, guitar, and piano, builds up so tidily, it all makes sense. A dreamy style of singing makes Ruby’s voice a good counterpoint to the rest of the production.

Cat’s Cradle talks about obsession, infatuation, and how these things can be mistaken for love. Being so attached to someone just to relieve your anxiety isn’t necessarily a good idea. It basically leaves you vulnerable.. It’s wiser to find happiness on your own.
