The truth can be hard to tell, but it can also be liberating. Talker isn’t concealing anything from you on her debut album I’m Telling You the Truth, out June 21st. To get excitement up, she releases Old Enough. It pairs thumping vocals with a healthy dose of alt-pop energy. We love the way the guitar catches momentum and turns it into catchiness. The tone is set promptly by the rhythmic drumming.
Old Enough was written with sadness. Talker had the feeling she couldn’t be completely honest to her friend about how she felt. It’s the love for this person that made it impossible.
