Runaway Baby is the debut single by Gypsy Lee, a singer/songwriter from Melbourne. It’s embellished with fairy-talk synths and grounded guitar playing. It sometimes feels like Lana Del Rey teamed up with Gypsy on the song. And that’s far from being a bad thing. We love how everything progresses, and Gypsy’s performance shakes things up.
Runaway Baby captures the delusional high of falling in love. Although things start bittersweet, dark clouds are looming. The only way to escape them is to run away from them.
