East London’s Ormella infiltrates the music scene with Never’s a Promise. And what a debut, I really connected with it. Let’s start by mentioning how polished the instrumental is. It’s full of little details that make it out of the ordinary. The vocals determine the direction the sound takes, which gives them so much relevancy.
Lyrically, Never’s a Promise expresses the feeling Ormella had after coming out of a relationship with someone she felt had deceived her yet still loved. It all gets really personal. Definitely unique to get the chance to observe someone’s thoughts so closely.
