Singer-songwriter JoJo Scott releases her new single, Casual Feelings. It has guitar lines that recall classic soft rock. The drums, playing in the background, move apathetically over the production’s line. Some soulful keys provide just the right level of complexity.
The song depicts JoJo’s realization that the person she’s falling for doesn’t share the same feelings. In spite of this difficulty, Jojo tries to hold on to a sliver of hope. And, well, what else can be done? Sometimes optimism is better than pessimism.
