Toronto-born, Belleville-raised Alt-R&B/Pop artist UNA MIA delivers her third official single Too Much. It’s not the most outspoken song musically, but it works. We love the intensity created by the eerie guitar riffs. The vocals, which start low pitched and then become normal, are fascinating in their own right.
Too Much expresses frustration, anger, confusion, and trapped feelings. When UNA was writing it, she was reflecting on a partner from the past who gaslighted her. The lyrics are very personal, and don’t let the grass grow underneath you. It’s all direct.
