Anglo-French avant-garde electronic artist Julia-Sophie releases her new single, numb. It’s driven by twirling synths that lend it an experimental flair. Some highly industrial textures are placed above them, most prominently during the final part. The performance is serious, taking some attention away from the production and giving it to the lyrics.
The song narrates Julia-Sophie’s story of self-destruction. She’s very honest and doesn’t hide anything about how she feels. Seeing her soul this way permits us to get a better understanding of what she has been through.
