Our 2013 Census

This isn’t the first time we’ve run the Census, back in 2013 we teamed up with Farida Guitars to launch the inaugural survey.

Back in 2013, respondents were asked to highlight the biggest challenges they faced as musicians two issues dominated: ‘Getting our music heard’ and ‘Making enough money.’ Meanwhile, Facebook and Twitter emerged as the two most popular social channels for promoting music.

While similar challenges undoubtedly remain, the social media landscape has changed a lot in the last ten years with the emergence of TikTok and Instagram.

All responses will be anonymous, and we’ll summarise the results here on Right Chord Music.
