Gigi Harland’s songs are inspired by strangers, love, and the perpetual motion she has always found herself in. Shapeshifter’s theme centers on processing the loss of someone or the end of something valuable. As you strive to move forward, memories flood your mind. All you can do is think about what happened in the past.. Because of this, it’s difficult to achieve true healing.
Shimmering guitar and looming, moonlit bass and dizzying synth strings make up the sound. The vocals are brilliant, and possibly one of the most unique I’ve ever heard. The chorus hits home immediately.
