CATBEAR – aka Zoe and Sarah – are back with their first single of the year – Rush. The song has some really catchy guitar riffs and upbeat synth chords. The bassline pulses along too, it’s kinda like having a scarf wrapped around you. When the chorus hits, man it just bursts with so much enthusiasm And CATBEAR’s vocals are so smooth on top of it all, really helps you appreciate the power of it all.
The lyrics are brilliant. During the writing process, CATBEAR aimed to capture the energetic, carefree days of Summer. If you think back to past instances that resulted in a rush, the lyrics could describe an intense infatuation, a wild social gathering, the thrill of extreme physical pursuits, or taking a calculated risk.
