The Last Dinner Party Share New Single ‘Knocking At The Sky’ and Launch Deluxe Album

Following a relentless period of touring on both sides of the Atlantic, The Last Dinner Party have released their brand new single, “Knocking At The Sky.” The track anchors a newly available digital deluxe edition of their critically acclaimed sophomore album, From The Pyre, out today.

First debuted live at the Brixton Academy during the finale of their sold-out 2025 UK tour, “Knocking At The Sky” serves as the formal closing chapter to the From The Pyre era. Recorded at Crouch End’s Church Studios with producer Animesh Raval, the song shifts the band’s penchant for theatrical world-building toward a gothic, cinematic interpretation of Hollywood.

On the track, the band state,

‘Knocking at the Sky’ is the final tale from The Pyre. After creating an album about storytelling and worldbuilding we thought it apt to end this act with a story set in the sinister mythworld itself: Los Angeles. Hollywood is the ultimate fairytale; the stakes are at surreal heights, the landscape is unruly and plastic, and it’s populated with a cast of Grimm characters all striving and struggling at the centre of their own hero’s journey.

The track is accompanied by a music video directed by Sinclair Bryant, filmed as an homage to classic noir sirens, vintage slasher films, and the underground cinema of John Waters. The deluxe album drop comes exactly one year after the band first teased the record with “This Is The Killer Speaking,” and compiles other recent cuts including “Big Dog” and the spoken-word piece “Come All You Beasts.”

The release marks a brief bridge in an incredibly packed touring schedule. Having just wrapped a lengthy US headline run, the band are set for a heavy summer festival circuit, including stops at TRNSMT, Latitude, a massive Finsbury Park show alongside Wolf Alice, and their debut festival headline slot at Wilderness. They will subsequently return to North America for an arena tour supporting Sombr, followed by a highly anticipated, sold-out arena run supporting Olivia Rodrigo on “The Unravelled Tour” in January and February 2027.

Beyond the stage, the band have continued to expand their community-focused initiatives. This past April, they hosted “The Market Place” at The MáLà Project in Brooklyn, showcasing local independent artists. Additionally, their “Ribbons for Provisions” project remains highly active across their tour stops; the fan-supported initiative has now raised nearly £50,000 for food banks across the UK and Europe, alongside upwards of $40,000 during their recent US dates.
