The five-piece all-female band Cally Cole & The Cosmos have released their debut single, Wanna Make You Happy, and it sounds brilliant. I love the drums and guitar a lot here. The vocals (plus accompanying harmonies) are also magnificent right up to the very last second. The lyrics deal primarily with friendship and co-dependency, and how the two relate to one another. It’s all thoughtful.
