New York artist and producer Deer park and German experimental electronic artist Valeria Litvakov have linked up for two new singles, “Better Than Mine” and “The Neverhood.”
The singles grew out of a meeting in New York earlier this year at Webster Hall, where they were both opening for James K. After the show, Valeria met Deer park at the studio where he works in SoHo, where they wrote and recorded “Better Than Mine”; a quick-draw, “one take” moment of lucidity where the two explore themes of success, fulfilment, and perceived mediocrity, comparing themselves to a fictional protagonist whose life appears enviable on the surface. Later in the year, after reuniting at Creepy Teepee Festival in Prague, the two recorded “The Neverhood” in the Czech countryside at an Airbnb where several artists who played the festival relocated.
These singles arrive ahead of the start of Deer park’s 2026 EU/UK Tour, a seven-stop run taking him through six countries, including a stop at Pitchfork Paris
