Pop-punk trio Stand Atlantic have released another heart-sick single off their latest EP, “NEXT2U.” Sharing the same name as the EP itself, this kicks off the 4 new songs debuting before their upcoming album, GODBREATH.

The video keeps it simple, focusing on the performance that makes room for the adoring lyrics and punchy sound they’re known and loved for.
“Baby, I’m an astronaut
Spacin’ out on withdrawals
Guess I’ll see you in my thoughts
And if that’s all we got…”
Their incredible vocalist Bonne Fraser goes on to reiterate that she just wants to “wake up next to you,” soaring notes amidst yearning narratives that describe the pain of distance and desire from afar. A shredding guitar solo towards the end of the short but exceptionally sweet track reminds us of the talent of each band member, while the drums carry an undeniably fluid and hard-hitting series of rhythms.
Bonne had more to say about this song beyond the lyrics themselves.
“This is definitely a love song, but there’s also lots of references to being away from home and far from people that make you feel good. We’re so lucky to tour the world with our best friends but this is an ode to the people back home that you still miss. Sometimes it’s hard to stay present because you want to be somewhere else. ‘NEXT2U’ is a love song you can send to your homies.”
