New York City art-rock mainstays BODEGA have today detailed their fourth studio album, All Inside Aquarium, slated for release on October 9th via Chrysalis Records. Accompanying the album announcement, the indie-rock mainstays have shared the project’s title track alongside a limited edition 7” single featuring the vinyl-exclusive B-side, “Since You Ask.” The announcement sets the stage for a busy tour routing that features upcoming hometown performances in NYC, an expansive trip to Europe, and a newly revealed string of November UK tour dates.

All Inside Aquarium is available for pre-order across a variety of highly collectable physical formats, including a Dinked exclusive Cloudy Blue vinyl package and a Bandcamp edition boasting alternate, hand-painted artwork by the band’s own vocalist and percussionist, Nikki Belfiglio. Musically, the title track operates as an expansive, existential alternative anthem. Written to explore the healing properties of personal pain and cosmic oneness, guitarist and vocalist Ben Hozie frames the track as a conscious push toward a more open-hearted, anthemic 1990s-influenced rock sound.

Guitarist / vocalist Ben Hozie states

“This track is an attempt at an existential anthem. Pain (after it subsides) can bring you closer to a beatific perspective where dichotomy disappears and curious creativity calmly trickles out like the faucet tube in the tub —> Being there, you remember all is connected and paradoxically emerge more yourself despite recognizing you are a mere flake in the fish-tank of cosmic oneness. Nobody can really mess with your head except yourself when you take responsibility for your reality.”

The single arrives with a playful, green-screened music video directed by Belfiglio. The visual features the band performing directly inside the miniature world created for the album’s cover art, a complex, physical fish tank sculpture constructed by Belfiglio out of clay, wood, and papier-mâché over a four-month period.

BODEGA will preview the album with a trio of NYC dates, performing at the Market Hotel for New York Music Month, joining Spoon and Ratboy at Central Park Summerstage, and headlining the Elsewhere Rooftop in August. Following a September tour through Spain, Paris, and a sold-out London show at the 100 Club, the band will return to the UK in late autumn for a newly added run across London, Leeds, and Bristol.
