SEER SEEKER Returns with Synth Heavy Sophomore LP: SPELLS AND SECRETS

The amazing SEER SEEKER is out with a brand-new LP, “SPELLS AND SECRETS.” This synth heavy 10-track album explores many deep themes such as love, burnt bridges, competitive spirits, change, fake friends, mental health, and spirituality. There is a little something for everyone to relate to within the lyrics of this album. Rock the Pigeon proudly reviewed SEER SEEKER’s debut LP in March. Clearly, SEER SEEKER has been hard at work, as he has been able to write and produce two albums in just one year. This is quite the impressive feat.

Listeners are immediately drawn into a richly textured synthscape from the very first note. “DIVINE LOVE (INTRO)” makes a bold and lasting impression, showcasing its strength as a standout opening track. The autotuned and distorted vocals lend an otherworldly, raw quality that pairs seamlessly with the pounding intensity of the heavy drums and bass. The synth section is even more commanding, creating an immersive soundscape that dominates the track, washing over listeners with its layered complexity. Through it all, the emotion and passion in the vocal delivery shine through, pouring out with an almost tangible intensity, giving the track an undeniable sense of love and depth.

The energy of this track seamlessly transitions into the next, “SPELLS AND SECRETS (PART 1),” a high-octane anthem guaranteed to fire listeners up. With its electrifying momentum, it’s the ultimate soundtrack for tackling a busy to-do list or powering through an intense gym session. Brimming with motivation, the track features a captivating vocal melody paired with a driving, high-pitched synth line that keeps the adrenaline flowing. Packed with irresistible hooks, it’s a song that demands repeat listens, delivering the kind of energy that sticks with you long after it ends. The song is less than a minute and a half in length, but somehow doesn’t feel too short. It’s a great song to play on a loop to get hyped up.

The next track, “FRACTALS,” keeps the energy high while introducing a darker, moodier vibe in its minor key. With a stronger hip-hop influence than its predecessors, the song showcases impeccable rhythmic vocal delivery, drawing listeners in with its precision and flow. The lyrics delve deep into the raw realities of intense mental health battles, including psychosis, while carrying an uplifting message of resilience and overcoming. Complementing the powerful storytelling, the trap-inspired electronic beat and infectious synth lines create a dynamic, hard-hitting sound that lingers long after the track ends.

“BURN” ignites with an explosive opening, amplified by striking FX that immediately grab attention. A ghostly piano melody weaves its way into the mix, accompanied by distorted, indecipherable speech that enhances the track’s eerie, haunted atmosphere. The percussion stands out as especially distinctive, adding an unpredictable edge to the song’s rhythm. Lyrically, it tells the classic story of losing a friend who veered “down a bad path,” becoming too toxic to remain connected to, and the heartbreak of watching a once-strong relationship unravel. The track builds intensity as it progresses, with the percussion growing more forceful and the vocals reaching new emotional heights. The rap verses burst through with raw power, delivered with fiery energy and an impassioned, almost primal yell into the microphone, making “BURN” an unforgettable ride. The track ends with pounding drums that are doused in reverb, setting a fire in, the listeners’ heart. This percussion section leads perfectly into “CHECKMATE.”

“CHECKMATE” is starts off a bit slower in BPM, but the pacing quickly picks up. The drums bring an eerie vibe to the recording. An emo sounding chorus section interrupts the rap section momentarily. Electric guitars come in, adding another dimension to the recording.  After the first chorus, SEER SEEKER really shows off his impeccable rap flow. He is fast, perfectly on beat, and cutting through the speakers with impressive rhymes, all without taking a breath. This fast rap section happens on top of a busy drum section and razor sounding synths. This song is all about performing better than competitors, and trust us, SEER SEEKER does.

Every musician faces moments of self-doubt, both internal and external. “THE WINTERS” is a triumphant anthem about silencing the skeptics and proving your worth. The track features an unshakable rhythmic rap section that commands attention, with SEER SEEKER once again delivering his flow with flawless precision and undeniable presence. Atmospheric synths weave in a haunting undertone, adding depth and tension, while the drums drive the track forward with impeccable timing, infusing it with constant motion and energy. It’s a powerful showcase of talent and resilience, a statement piece that refuses to be ignored.

My favorite lyrics on the album is from The Winters “acting like they know better, I got better friends baby they can handle cold weather.”

A shift in tone emerges with “SPELLS AND SECRETS (PT. 2).” The track opens with a lush, tranquil synth pad, offering a brief respite from the relentless energy of the album’s earlier tracks. Here, the focus shifts to melodic vocal sections, with SEER SEEKER delivering the memorable line: “I got spells and secrets, to hell with demons, I got. Send the devil back to hell.” The laid-back vibe of the song serves as a refreshing contrast, highlighting its introspective mood and adding a new layer of depth to the record’s dynamic journey.

The haunting piano makes a striking return in “NO SNAKES,” setting an ominous tone before the track bursts to life with the arrival of the vocals. While the vocal delivery is more subdued compared to earlier tracks, the raw emotion cuts through powerfully, making this song a standout moment of intensity. Showcasing the full range of SEER SEEKER’s vocal dynamics, the track balances restraint with impact, delivering a message that hits hard. “NO SNAKES” is a bold declaration about cutting out fake, toxic people and establishing firm boundaries to protect yourself from users and abusers. It’s a powerful anthem of self-preservation and resilience.

“NEW PARADIGM” begins with thunderous synths that set the stage for one of the album’s most haunting moments. Ethereal, high-pitched piano notes drenched in reverb create an eerie atmosphere, while samples of a woman’s voice echo softly, adding to the ghostly vibe before SEER SEEKER’s vocals take center stage. This ballad-style track reflects a powerful theme of stepping into a new chapter of life and career. Lyrics from “SPELLS AND SECRETS (PT. 2)” make a striking return, weaving in a familiar hook that enhances the album’s cohesion and catchiness. The heavy, resonant bass underpins the song, amplifying its emotional depth and anchoring SEER SEEKER’s heartfelt delivery.

The final track on the record gives listeners one last heavy hitter. “NATURE OF REALITY” is another heavy rap song where SEER SEEKER rhymes quickly. In contrast, there are moments of slow speaking that serve as the hook of the song. Lyrically, this song explores themes of faith and spirituality.
